Dr Steven Watson

Dr Steven Watson is a registrar of the Australasian College of Exercise and Sports Physicians. Dr Watson undertook his medical training at the University of Queensland and completed his junior doctor years on the Gold Coast at Gold Coast University Hospital. During this time, he completed 2 years in orthopaedics as a principle house officer, as well as rotations through the emergency department, rehabilitation, psychiatric and general medical wards.

Prior to commencing Medicine, Dr Watson worked as a physiotherapist whilst undertaking his PhD in exercise for bone health. Dr Watson had the privilege to work with a variety of sports during his time as a physiotherapist, including the Gold Coast Titans NRL Club, Tweed Heads Seagulls QRL Club, PGA international Golf Institute and the Major League Baseball Academy.
